Firmware issues have plagued the aftermarket industry for a while now. As more OEM's are using firmware
to block aftermarket cartridges, it is important to avoid printer firmware updates, in particlar HP's most recent OfficeJet
Pro printers and some of the smaller LaserJet Printers. They are distributed with an Automatic Firmware Update option that
is set to "On" when a customer received the printer. This means that if you do not change the setting, the printer
will automatically be updated with the latest firmware updates, potentially making aftermarket cartridges not work properly
or at all in the printer, limiting your options. Some firmware updates must be initiated by the user from the control panel.

your way to the Dashboard -> Setup ->Printer Maintenance -> Update the Printer ->Update Options ->Select DO

to stop Automatic Firware Updates. Control Panel to Dashboard ->Touch HP ePrint ->Touch OK->Select Do Not Check ->it

printer updates. Select No.
